1. Introduction:
Hazras Charity Foundation (HCF), as a committed delivery partner to Muslims Aid Australia (MAA International), continues to implement humanitarian and community support projects across Nigeria, particularly focusing on vulnerable households affected by disasters, poverty, and socio-economic hardship. This report provides a consolidated update on the two recently completed projects and an outline of the upcoming third project, demonstrating accountability, transparency, and readiness for continued partnership.
2. COMPLETED PROJECTS
A. Project 1 – Food Pack Support for Flood Victims (Mokwa, Niger State)
Implementation Month: August 2025 Total Beneficiaries: 1,200 flood-affected individuals Project Type: Emergency Humanitarian Response
Background:
Severe flooding in Mokwa Local Government, Niger State displaced hundreds of families, destroyed homes, farmlands, and food supplies. MAA International approved a Food Pa
ck Intervention through HCF to support stranded households.
Key Achievements:
- Distributed Food Packs consisting of rice, grains, oil, sugar, and basic nutrition essentials.
- Covered over 250 households, prioritizing widows, elderly persons, and families with young children.
- Delivery and distribution were carried out safely and efficiently, with support from community leaders.
- All items were branded and documented in line with donor requirements.
- Full HD media documentation (pictures + videos) was provided to MAA.
Impact:
- Improved household food security during crisis.
- Prevented hunger and malnutrition among children and displaced families.

B. Project 2 – Back to School Student Kits Distribution (Kano & Jigawa States)
Implementation Month: October 2025 Total Beneficiaries: 1,000 pupils and orphans Locations: 7 LGAs in Kano State + 3 LGAs in Jigawa State Project Type: Education Support / Child Welfare

- Successfully covered 10 Local Government Areas across two states.

- Coordinated closely with SUBEB Kano and Jigawa State authorities for school verification and supervision.
- Achieved smooth, well-organized distribution with no major incidents.
- Fully complied with donor guidelines for:
- Branding (stickers & banners)
- Procurement documentation
- Media coverage
- Power Apps beneficiary upload

3. UPCOMING PROJECT – SHELTER PACK PROJECT (Batch C)
Proposed Start: November–December 2025 Target Beneficiaries: 500 displaced or vulnerable households Project Type: Emergency Shelter & Household Support
Project Objective:
To provide **basic household and shelter materials** to families affected by displacement, fire outbreaks, flooding, or extreme poverty in selected Nigerian communities.
Proposed Shelter Pack Contents:
Each pack may include:
- Sleeping mats or foam mattress
- Treated mosquito nets
- Blankets
- Buckets/water container
- Hygiene kits (soap, detergent, sanitary items)
- Cooking pot + spoon set
- Plastic floor covering
- Solar lamp (optional)
Selection Criteria:
- IDPs (Internally Displaced Persons)
- Disaster-affected households
- Widows and female-headed households
- Pregnant women and families with infants
- Extremely poor residents living in temporary shelters
Planned Locations:
Recommended areas based on vulnerability assessment:
1. Borno State – IDP camps (highest shelter needs)
2. Adamawa State– Flood-affected communities
3. Niger State – Riverine communities (fire & flood victims)
4. Kaduna State – Conflict-affected villages
5. Kano, Yobe/Jigawa – Low-income rural communities in slum environments
Expected Outcomes
- Immediate improvement in household living conditions.
- Reduced exposure to environmental hazards (cold, insects, unsafe sleeping conditions).
- Support to vulnerable families in rebuilding minimal stability and dignity.
- Increased donor visibility and community trust.
