Summary
The campaign aims to mobilize resources for the establishment of a Media Library in the village of Adaillou, with the goal of combating cultural deprivation. The objective is to create a vibrant cultural hub that facilitates knowledge and education for the community.
Challenge
Across the African continent, a significant disparity and inequality persist between rural and urban areas. In Djibouti, the educational journey of children in remote areas puts them at a considerable disadvantage when compared to their urban peers.
The challenges they face, stemming from geographical isolation and limited resources, impede their access to quality education and opportunities for growth. Addressing this disparity is crucial for creating equal opportunities and ensuring that every child, regardless of their geographical location, has a chance to access knowledge and education.
Solution
In Adaylou, a village situated 200 km from Djibouti's capital, the association proudly inaugurated one of the region's pioneering rural libraries. Unfortunately, financial constraints forced the closure of this vital space after six years of service. Today, we dream of building a modern space, lit by solar energy, equipped with IT tools, and featuring a rich collection of books.
By doing so, they will reshape the destiny of these children and write a new chapter of hope and education. Every donation, regardless of its size, and every supportive gesture contributes significantly to these children's rights to knowledge and education.
The media library in Adaylou will serve as a learning center, providing free access to a vast collection of books, educational resources, and modern technologies. The campaign aims to mobilize the necessary funds for the construction and equipment of the media library, creating a space conducive to education and intellectual development.
