Summary

The campaign aims to provide scholarships to needy students in Lebanon.

Challenge

Two Lebanese semi-private schools located in Jezzine Lebanon, present for over a century, have provided rigorous education to thousands of students in Arabic, French, and English. These schools are under threat of closure placing more than a 3,700 students at risk of being out of school for this academic year. Once a foundational pillar and source of national pride, the educational sector is under severe pressure and students increasingly rely on donor generosity to access primary and secondary education.

Solution

We are raising these funds through Loubnaniyoun, an NGO founded in June 2012 (Decree #1140), that supports primary and secondary education for youth through needs-based financial aid programs. Education is the only path to a better Lebanon. This is how Minhati Program was launched in 2013 being one of the main causes of the organization. Loubnaniyoun believes in the necessity and importance of education to develop our country and to give a chance to its people and to future generations to have a better life and promising opportunities. Minhati is an ongoing and yearly funded student scholarship program targeting youth generation all over Lebanon, provides educational scholarships to students in Semi-Private schools and Private schools whose tuition fees are affordable and provides orientation activities, awareness activities, and sports activities.

From 2013 till the year 2022, through private funding for the “Minhati” Program, Loubnaniyoun succeeded in helping 2872 students from all regions in Lebanon with part of their scholarship fees, and now due to the acute economic crisis approximately 500 Families are counting on our support every year. With this campaign, Loubnaniyoun will allocate 100% of donations to the schools, with no deductions for administrative or other costs.

Your gift will help secure continuity of education for more than 1,000 students, and we are deeply grateful for any support you can offer to these young Lebanese in need.
