The Aussie Association of Somalia (AAS), established in 2017, is an Australian International Non-Governmental Organization (INGO) addressing critical humanitarian challenges in the Horn of Africa. Operating in regions of Somalia affected by drought, political instability, and terrorism, AAS focuses on lifesaving assistance, promoting dignity, and fostering resilience among vulnerable populations.

Key Initiatives:

  • Education: Enrolled over 900 children, including survivors of GBV, child labor, and FGM, through inclusive education programs in Kahda District. Schools provide a safe environment for learning, nutrition, and personal development.
  • Skills Development: Developing a Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) center to equip youth and women with job-creating skills, addressing the lack of technical education in Somalia.
  • Community Impact: Directly supported over 1,000 households within three years and aims to triple this annually.

AAS is committed to building a peaceful and self-reliant Somalia, guided by professionalism, core values, and a team of experienced professionals ensuring efficient operations.
