Summary
The campaign aims to establish a poultry farm providing meaningful employment opportunities for 26 individuals with disabilities.
Challenge
There are more than 520,000 people with disabilities in Azerbaijan, with over 222,000 of them being women and girls. Unfortunately, there are limited job opportunities, especially for women and girls with disabilities, in the regions. Our project focuses on enhancing social engagement to secure employment for people with disabilities and eliminate discrimination against them. Additionally, there is a scarcity of poultry products in the country.
Solution
The campaign aims to establish a poultry farm in the Barda region, providing meaningful employment opportunities for 26 individuals with disabilities. The fertile terrain of Barda, coupled with its favorable climatic conditions, makes it an ideal location for poultry farming.
Recognizing the potential of disabled families in rural areas for poultry farming, we aim to create jobs for them. The poultry farm will focus on raising geese, ducks, turkeys, and chickens. Additionally, the organization plans to contribute to the preservation of endangered bird species, enhancing the beauty of nature, by raising and selling them to botanical gardens and related areas.
