Campaign Status
New Campaign - Ongoing Online: The campaign has been recently launched, thus still in the process of collecting funds.
Summary
The campaign aims to improve education in Libyan schools, focusing on Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM), by training 30 mentors who will educate 150 teachers on modern STEM methods. These teachers will then pass on their knowledge to 3,000 students, fostering critical thinking and 21st-century skills.
Challenge
The classification that Libya obtained in the field of the quality of education prompts us to reconsider the methods and methodologies we follow in educating our children, which are not compatible with the requirements of the modern era. Technology, which has become an essential element in our daily lives, has not yet found its way into classrooms in our schools and universities. This situation creates a significant gap between our students and the world's students, reduces their opportunities in the future labor market, and turns them from developers of technology into consumers of it.
Solution
Therefore, the STEM Education Ambassadors Campaign seeks to...) seeks to bridge this gap and introduce technology into education, by providing the necessary training for teachers to enable them to teach students how to use technology effectively and creatively.
This project aims to train 30 mentors to be able to train 150 teachers who, in turn, will train 3,000 students. Teachers will learn how to use technology in the classroom, and how to help students develop the digital skills they need to succeed in the 21st century. This project will contribute to raising the level of academic achievement of our students and will increase their chances of obtaining better job and education opportunities in the future. It will also enhance our society's ability to keep pace with the rapid changes in our digital world.
