Summary

The campaign aims to offer specialized training courses to 64 individuals, including 45 women and 19 men, in various professional fields.

Challenge

The political, social, and economic conditions in Libya have deteriorated since February 2011, resulting in significant challenges related to job creation and rising unemployment rates. Women and people with disabilities are particularly vulnerable, facing discrimination and social exclusion. The number of people with disabilities in Libya has increased due to the impact of wars, resulting in job loss and difficulties in finding suitable employment opportunities. These individuals often experience financial constraints and encounter limitations in accessing work that aligns with their abilities.

Solution

To address these issues, the project aims to facilitate economic transformation, promote gender equality, and empower women and girls. This will be accomplished by offering training courses in entrepreneurship, e-marketing, digital photo editing, airline ticket reservation systems, and travel and tourism organization. These courses will empower participants and equip them with the necessary skills to integrate into the labor market, ultimately improving their standard of living. This, in turn, will contribute to advancing economic transformation, gender equality, and the empowerment of women.

The "Skills for Change" campaign offers an effective solution to support affected groups by providing specialized training courses across various professional fields. These courses encompass areas such as e-marketing, digital photo editing, airline ticket reservation systems, travel and tourism organization, and entrepreneurship.

Through these training programs, participants will acquire the practical skills necessary to integrate into the labor market and enhance their career opportunities. They will gain proficiency in new and innovative techniques and methods relevant to their respective professional fields, equipping them to tackle modern challenges within the job market.

Thanks to these training courses, women, people with disabilities, and individuals affected by conflict will have the opportunity to enhance their skills and develop their practical capabilities. This, in turn, will improve their prospects for securing new and sustainable employment, leading to enhanced economic and social well-being.

We aim to create a supportive and inspiring learning environment for participants. They will receive guidance and career advice from experts in various fields, along with the technical support and resources necessary for effective learning and practical application.

Long-Term Impact:

  • Improving Job Opportunities: Specialized training courses enable affected groups to enhance their skills and practical capabilities, providing them with increased access to new and sustainable employment opportunities, thereby improving their economic and living conditions.
  • Strengthening the Local Economy: Empowering affected groups and facilitating their integration into the labor market enhances the community's ability to leverage their unique talents and skills. This, in turn, fosters increased productivity, innovation, and economic growth in the region.
  • Alleviating Discrimination: The campaign's commitment to providing equal employment opportunities for all, including women and individuals with disabilities, serves to reduce discrimination in employment matters. This fosters greater equality and offers developmental opportunities to all members of society, contributing to the creation of a more inclusive and just society.
  • Role Model Effect: The participation of successful individuals and specialists in the campaign as trainers and mentors allows affected groups to draw from their experiences and success stories. Participants learn from these role models and find motivation to pursue their ambitions and unlock their full potential.
