Summary
Planting forests in Kazakhstan in a scientific and natural way to prevent global warming. El-Rukhy is a team of experienced foresters, who have already planted over 10,000 trees. The campaign seeks to grow tree seedlings in greenhouses and plant them in rural areas. This way, EL - Rukhy helps the planet fight global warming and helps people improve the quality of the soil in rural areas. The uniqueness of the campaign lies in the methods of planting trees - lack of any artificial or chemical compounds. The campaign seeks to restore the forests in Kazakhstan's Northern region by natural methods.
Challenge
By supporting the campaign, there would appear a direct input against climate change, and restoration of wild habitats in Kazakhstan’s steppes. Moreover, it is not only wild nature, but the people in rural areas would be able to have an improved soil quality, and protection from the harsh Northern winds. There is always a visible result, which can be observed, and controlled. Thus, the input made by supporters will be visible, and instantly impactful in real life. With your support, we can plant 2-4 thousand trees during the first year and increase this number up to 10 thousand. El Rukhy will be working on new methods of accelerated growth of tree seedlings that are common for the local area in an effort to share this experience with other households in the Akmola region. Every penny can help us make a tremendous difference for years to come.
Solution
We need just $1,200 which will help us with the cost of the greenhouse. We already have volunteers and qualified forestation experts ready who will support the delivery of renewing this land. The donations will be spent on the construction of the greenhouse and on its operations. The estimated value of the output is the incubation of 2,000 trees annually. The project is a non-commercial initiative that will donate all the grown trees to the rural areas of the republic to fulfill two key functions forest protection and soil Fertility.
Literally, everyone will benefit from this project. On a broader scale, all human beings inhabiting the planet Earth benefit once the new tree is planted elsewhere. For Kazakhstan, the initiative might bring a range of benefits as follows:
1) Better quality of air – the local ecological situation will get better
2) Neglected rural areas will have better soil fertility. Once new trees start growing in places the soil will have better access to air and water and the areas might be used for agricultural purposes again.
3) After the first project is on the go, other initiative eco groups and volunteers might find support from the private sector to launch similar greenhouses all around the place
