Summary
The campaign aims to integrate 25 unemployed young graduates into their communities by creating income-generating activities, including setting up 10 micro-businesses.
Challenge
Guinea's young people are facing significant challenges in their socio-economic integration. The lack of support for entrepreneurial initiatives and the absence of effective youth integration policies by both private and state structures have led many young people to lose hope of staying in their country of origin. As a result, many opt for the perilous journey of illegal migration in search of "happiness," which often ends in great disappointment and countless deaths. The Prefecture of Kindia is particularly affected, with illegal immigration being a prevalent option in many neighborhoods and communities. This has resulted in mourning for families who lose loved ones in the Sahara and Mediterranean, as well as contributing to brain drain.
Solution
The aim of this project is to integrate 25 unemployed young graduates into their communities by creating income-generating activities, including setting up 10 micro-businesses. This initiative aims to improve their living conditions and provide hope for a decent life, while also reducing the appeal of illegal migration, which has caused so much grief in Guinea, especially in Kindia. By involving young people in entrepreneurship, the project seeks to boost economic and social development, create wealth within the community, generate both direct and indirect jobs, reduce the unemployment rate, and provide solace to families.
To address this issue in Kindia, the project will raise awareness about the risks of illegal migration and the benefits of entrepreneurship. It will strengthen participants' capacities through training in business creation, management, credit concepts, and business plan development. The 10 most innovative and promising initiatives will be selected, financed, and supported throughout their implementation.
