Summary

The campaign aims to generate self-employment opportunities for 75 impoverished and vulnerable women who are heads of households.

Challenge

Poverty is tough; it's a really tough situation. Worst of all is the feeling of hopelessness, despair, and being left out. People's ability to bounce back, their qualities, features, and strengths all wear away. No one should have to go through this, but we live in a world that isn't fair or easy. Picture thousands of women not knowing where their families' next meal will come from in the morning. Picture the heartbreaking voices of children asking their moms for something to eat. Think about how hard it is for these moms and how much it hurts that they can't do more for their kids.

Solution

Creating self-employment opportunities for 75 mothers is not something we can achieve alone. With your support, we can work together to help these women lift themselves out of poverty, inequality, and injustice. These women possess skills and innate talents, and given a chance, they are capable of taking care of their children. They just need that initial support.

We seek your support, help, and donations to get this project off the ground. If we succeed in reaching our donation goal, each beneficiary will receive a micro-grant of $200 to use as starting capital for establishing a small income-generating activity. Once these income-generating activities are set up with the initial grants, Kaaba will continue providing the beneficiaries with loans tailored to their situations, allowing them to expand their micro-enterprises until they become self-sufficient.
