Campaign Status

New Campaign - Ongoing Online: The campaign has been recently launched, thus still in the process of collecting funds.

Summary

The campaign aims to train 50 women to become online remote workers so they can work from their homes and overcome some of their challenges. The top 20 performers will be selected for further development, and the best 10 will be provided with laptops to start their digital careers.

Challenge

Many women in Libya face a range of challenges that restrict their ability to achieve financial independence. Economic instability, lack of job opportunities, low level of digital literacy, and limited access to necessary resources such as computers exacerbate their vulnerability. In addition, cultural customs, domestic responsibilities, and security concerns make it difficult to work in traditional jobs. All these factors significantly reduce their ability to participate in economic activities and improve their living conditions.

Solution

As a solution to this problem we offer “Building Lancers” - a comprehensive program to empower these women. We will first select 50 women and provide them with training in freelancing, digital skills, and online self-employment. This training will open up a world of remote work opportunities for them, making the traditional constraints of work less important.

Then, the 20 most promising participants will receive specialized services from Binaa Incubator to help them improve their skills, establish themselves as freelancers, and grow their businesses online.

Finally, to ensure they have the resources they need to succeed, we will provide the 10 highest-performing participants with laptops. This initiative not only provides them with the tools they need but also serves as an incentive for all participants to excel in the program.

Long-Term Impact:

By empowering these women to become online workers, we are not only providing them with a means to earn income and improve their living conditions, but we are also opening doors for continued personal and professional growth. Each success story will be an incentive for more women to take the same path, creating a ripple effect in their communities.

Moreover, this initiative contributes to building a digital economy in Libya and reshaping social values related to women’s work. They show that women, regardless of their circumstances, can be powerful contributors to the economy and society when given the opportunity and resources.
