Summary
The campaign aims to enhance skills and foster young people people with disabilities in daily life tasks such as dressing and cooking.
Challenge
People with disabilities around the world face obstacles in education, services, and job opportunities. In many cases, the integration of people with disabilities into society and learning new skills is caused by the low level of financial opportunity. As a result, they often cannot fully participate in public life and end up in poverty. They have difficulty integrating into society. When people with disabilities are involved in development programs, inequality is reduced, inclusion is increased, and poverty and unemployment can be eliminated.
Solution
Strengthening social integration for disabled teenagers and young adults involves enhancing their skills and fostering independence in daily life tasks such as dressing and cooking (including table setting, snack, and dessert preparation).
Mental development is furthered through table sports games (such as dominoes, checkers, chess, and table tennis), participation in cultural activities (such as dance classes and artistic reading), and engagement in handicrafts (like carpet weaving, beading, sewing, weaving, and painting). Additionally, empowering young people with disabilities to generate income by teaching them how to sell their creations on popular online platforms like Amazon is a key aspect. Motivation is boosted through the organization of events and exhibitions within the center during project implementation. Furthermore, training sessions are organized for bedridden patients and those in need of psychological support throughout the project duration.
