OMAID Afghanistan Humanitarian Services (OAHS) is a distinguished non-political, non-governmental, and non-profit organization led by women, established on 16 September 2010. Registered under # 1811 of the Ministry of Economics, Government of Afghanistan, OAHS is committed to providing vital assistance to the most vulnerable and underprivileged populations in the nation.

At OAHS, our undertaking is to bring hope and opportunities to those in greatest need. Our focal areas include serving internally displaced people, women, women's health, children, human rights, and other marginalized groups. Through our comprehensive rural rehabilitation, inclusive development, and humanitarian programs, we aim to empower individuals and communities to enhance their socioeconomic conditions and foster sustainable change.

Our initiatives span a diverse spectrum, encompassing women empowerment, vocational training, literacy projects, infrastructure development, health education, food security and agriculture, child protection and safeguarding, gender-based violence prevention, women's health facilities, women's empowerment, livelihood support, education particularly for girls in schools and universities, internally displaced persons, promotion of human rights, and addressing socio-economic conditions.

OAHS is a women-led organization dedicated to assisting the most vulnerable populations in Afghanistan. Through integrated rural rehabilitation, inclusive development, and humanitarian programs, we aim to empower individuals and communities to enhance their socioeconomic conditions and drive lasting change across critical areas such as child protection, gender-based violence prevention, food security and agriculture, women's empowerment, livelihood support, health facilities, education for girls, internally displaced persons, human rights, and socio-economic conditions. OBJECTIVES AND PROGRAM GOALS OF OAHS:

1) Promoting Education and Professional Development for Women and Girls: OAHS is dedicated to advancing education, training, and professional growth opportunities for women and girls in Afghanistan. By empowering women to break barriers and engage fully in the economy, OAHS contributes to economic strength, sustainable development, and enhanced quality of life for individuals and communities.

2) Improving Health and Reducing Morbidity and Mortality: OAHS prioritizes the health and well-being of vulnerable populations by offering medical services, training, and health research to decrease morbidity and mortality rates. Through health education and ensuring access to essential healthcare, OAHS empowers individuals to make informed decisions about their well-being.

3) Alleviating Poverty through Emergency, Rehabilitation, and Development Projects: Recognizing poverty alleviation as essential for sustainable development, OAHS implements emergency response, rehabilitation, and long-term development projects to address the root causes of poverty and foster economic stability and self-sufficiency.

4) Enhancing Education and Knowledge in Target Communities: OAHS is committed to enhancing education and knowledge in target populations, with a specific focus on women and girls. By improving educational access and promoting literacy initiatives, OAHS enables individuals to enhance their skills, expand opportunities, and improve socio-economic conditions.

Whom We Operate For…

OAHS extends assistance to marginalized segments of Afghan society, including returning refugees, internally displaced persons, impoverished families, women, the unemployed, the uneducated, and community-based organizations. Special attention is given to the agricultural sector and rural activities to promote sustainable livelihoods at the grassroots level.
