Jiheeye Charity Organization (JCO) is non-political, non-profit making and humanitarian organization based in Hargeisa. The JCO has been involved to improve the livelihoods and socio-economic development of the affected communities in Somaliland through Food security and Livelihood interventions, WASH, Agriculture development, Basic education, Health, Human rights protection and democratization programs. The implementing partner (JCO) has strong experience and reliable knowledge on the local context and ability to support the hard-reach target population, and has previously involved such similar activities including the production and dissemination of improved cooking stoves with help from local crafts and dealers.

 

In addition, the JCO has good capacity and reliable background in the areas of community mobilization, stakeholders’ engagement, and is already successfully implemented several types of projects such as food security and livelihood, adaptation of climate change and building of community resilience interventions that reduces poverty, and improve the socio-economic well-being of the target communities.
