Afghanistan Betterment and Development Initiative Organization

Established in 2020 as a Civil Society Organization (CSO), ABADI began its journey with a strong commitment to social development and community empowerment. Recognizing the pressing needs within society, ABADI initially focused on grassroots initiatives aimed at improving the lives of marginalized and vulnerable populations. The organization’s early efforts were characterized by a strong emphasis on advocacy, public awareness, and community mobilization.

In 2024, ABADI transitioned into a fully registered Non-Governmental Organization (NGO). This strategic evolution marked a significant milestone in its growth, enabling it to expand its scope, enhance its operational capacity, and deepen its impact. As an NGO, ABADI is now better positioned to engage in larger-scale projects, secure funding from international donors, and collaborate with governmental and non-governmental partners on a broader scale.

Today, ABADI works across key sectors, including social services, agriculture, and education. The organization is dedicated to providing essential social services to vulnerable populations, promoting sustainable agricultural practices to enhance food security, and improving access to quality education in underserved areas. These focus areas are integral to ABADI's mission of promoting sustainable development, human rights, and social justice.
