Afghan Women Social and Economic Service Organization (AWSESO) was established as an association (CSO) in 2008 and operated as an association until 2017 and became NGOs in 2017 and now operates as National NGO in Afghanistan This organization is an independent, non-governmental, non-political and non-profit organization run by women in Afghanistan.

           

AWSESO in beginning, started its activity by focusing on illiteracy and low level of literacy of power women by conducting number of illiteracy courses for power women and girls.

AWSESO is working for service delivery in three (3) provinces, Kabul, Bamyan and Ghazny.

AWSESO work for improvement and capacity building of Afghan women and children.

AWSESO is delivering services according to the need of communities need and interest which includes, Education, different type of trainings, workshops, organizing exhibitions for women to displace their handicraft, weaving products and other product they produce for marketing purposes, as well working on Gender context, adult and children literacy, English and computer courses, leadership, management, business, marketing, casting, basic carpet graphic, carpet design, etc. In the same time. AWSESO by its limited activities works with poor and vulnerable women with limited working facilities. The women are happy and satisfied with the policy of AWSESO and willing to cooperate and coordinate in working with our organization

AWSESO wants to expand its services delivery activities for more and better livelihood improvement of poor and vulnerable community in waster areas and cover more provinces and support poor woman in, socio – economical prospective, culture, and professionalism.

AWSESO has 1500 volunteer women members, who cooperate and coordinate in activities and service delivery with organization to identify poor woman and vulnerable women and help in service delivery, even some of them pay membership to be permanent member of organization and may also get bonus/ encouragement for their good performance, the number of these volunteer member are 750 people in Kabul, 530 people in Bamian and 280 people in Ghazni  AWSESO also plan to help and support women in employment, AWSESO also try to create environment for women of Afghanistan in Kabul and provincial level, and introduce them to participated in conference, workshops, training, courses, and other learning place for capacity building and be exposed to best practices of development.
