Ongoing campaign

Campaign Status

Ongoing Offline: The campaign is currently ongoing offline and, thus still in the process of collecting funds.

Summary

The campaign aims to educate students on the importance of recycling and proper waste disposal.

Challenge

The challenge lies in addressing environmental concerns and promoting sustainable practices among students, as well as ensuring the continuity and sustainability of the recycling efforts beyond the completion of the project. Additionally, effective communication and outreach are needed to engage schools, educators, and students in the program.

Solution

The newly launched program, "Waste to Wealth", aims to educate and inspire students to become environmental stewards. The initiative responds to the growing need for sustainable practices and environmental awareness among young people. The campaign story is to train students across various states in Nigeria on how to recycle waste into beautiful pieces. The agenda is to train from a grassroots level on how to appreciate recycling and understand the importance of disposing of waste properly. The essence is to save the ecosystem.

A specific period will be set aside during school hours to train students on recycling. The classes will be both theoretical and practical. The theoretical part will entail them learning the depths of recycling, its importance, and its environmental effect. They will then be taught practical aspects where they do hands-on training. Recycling clubs will also be set up in these schools to ensure continuity and sustainability after the completion of the project.

Key Features of the Program:

  • Hands-On Workshops: Engaging workshops that provide practical knowledge about recycling practices, waste reduction, and the importance of sustainable living. They will have practical sessions on using some items like old tires and bottles to make usable products.
  • Guest Speakers: Industry experts and environmental advocates will share their insights and experiences, providing students with a well-rounded perspective on the importance of recycling.

To kick off the program, we will host a launch event featuring keynote speakers, interactive demonstrations, and a preview of the program's curriculum.

Empowerment begins with education! Our initiative is not just about recycling; it's a catalyst for critical thinking, problem-solving, and shaping responsible citizens of tomorrow.

Join us as we empower students to be changemakers of our environment and planet.
