Campaign Status

Ongoing Offline: The campaign is currently ongoing offline and, thus still in the process of collecting funds.

Summary

The campaign aims to provide vocational training to support 50 vulnerable girls affected by armed conflict.

Challenge

Imagine a world where girls caught in the crossfire of armed conflict can rebuild their lives, support their families, and dream of a brighter future. War destroys not only infrastructure but also hope. Girls trapped in armed conflict in these regions are particularly vulnerable. Their education and livelihoods have been severely disrupted, leaving them with limited opportunities. They now face pressures such as early marriage or sexual exploitation by armed combatants.

Solution

Through the program "Seeds of Resilience: Vocational Education and Training for Conflict-Affected Girls," we will offer a safe haven, holistic support, and marketable skills by placing 50 of the most vulnerable girls in approved vocational training centers. This initiative aims to empower them to rebuild their lives.

Seeds of Resilience equips girls with the skills they need to build a better tomorrow. Our program provides:

Vocational Training: Courses in in-demand fields like tailoring, hairdressing, and embroidery.

Psychosocial Support: Helping girls heal from trauma and build self-confidence.

Mentorship: Connecting girls with successful women who can guide them on their career paths.

By empowering girls with vocational skills, we aim to:

Increase Their Earning Potential: Trained girls can find jobs and support themselves and their families.

Boost Their Self-Esteem: Learning valuable skills fosters confidence and a sense of accomplishment.

Break the Cycle of Poverty: Vocational education enables girls to build a brighter future for themselves and their communities.

SACOD has a dedicated team with extensive experience providing holistic support to girls and young women. To date, over 100 girls have received vocational training through SACOD.

With your support of $50,000, we can plant the seeds of resilience in the lives of these girls affected by armed conflict. Your donation can make a difference:
