Campaign Status
Ongoing Offline: The campaign is currently ongoing offline and, thus still in the process of collecting funds.
Summary
The campaign aims to transform the lives of 200 conflict-affected families by equipping them with essential livestock, agricultural resources, and training, leading to sustainable income growth and improved livelihoods.
Challenge
The ongoing armed conflicts and socio-political crises in the area have left 200 families, including widows, orphans, and Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs), in dire need of support. These families are struggling with poverty and inadequate resources, living on less than 1,000 FCFA (approximately $1.63) per day. They face severe hardship without sustainable means to improve their livelihoods. This gap must be addressed to alleviate their immediate suffering and offer a chance for long-term financial independence.
Solution
In effect, this initiative is crucial because it will support 200 families in this crisis-affected area, who are victims of armed conflicts and socio-political instability. The empowerment of these families will involve providing each with 50-day-old chicks, 6 ducks (1 male and 5 females), and feed for rearing. Additionally, each family will receive complementary materials, including 3 kg of hybrid maize seeds, 10 kg of fertilizer, and 50 suckers of improved plantains.
The initiative also includes capacity building and professional training in selected fields to ensure sustainable and reliable improvements in their incomes. We are encouraged by the support and personal contributions made so far, which represent 30% of the total amount needed for this humanitarian action. The total required is 38,500,000 FCFA ($62,842.40), and we still need 26,950,000 FCFA ($43,989.70).
Making a contribution to our fundraiser will help alleviate current and future hardship for these families, providing them with a chance to achieve financial independence.
