New Campaign - Ongoing Online: The campaign has been recently launched, thus still in the process of collecting funds.

Summary

The campaign aims to establish and equip a center for empowering and raising awareness among youth and women.

Challenge

Lack of financial support: Young entrepreneurs and women in Libya face difficulties in obtaining the necessary financing to start and expand their businesses. The banking system may not be sufficiently accessible to meet their needs, and access to loans, grants, and investments may be challenging.

Lack of experience and knowledge: Youth and women require more training and knowledge in entrepreneurship. They may lack the skills needed for business management, marketing, finance, and innovation. Providing training programs and workshops to enhance their entrepreneurial capabilities is a significant challenge.

Lack of networks and connections: Youth and women in Libya may lack strong networks and professional connections to support them in entrepreneurship. Providing opportunities for networking and communication with successful entrepreneurs, investors, and interested organizations is a challenge in this regard.

Social and cultural challenges: Women may face additional challenges due to social and cultural norms in society. There may be a bias towards men in the business field, and women face difficulties in reconciling traditional social roles with entrepreneurship.

Solution

The project's idea is to establish and equip a center for empowering and raising awareness among youth and women. This center will offer dedicated spaces for university students and young people who have been affected by conflict. Furthermore, it will provide economic education to create sustainable employment opportunities for recent graduates. Additionally, the center will serve as a safe and free space for the community. Collaborators will be selected from among unemployed university graduates in Sebha with computer-related backgrounds. Psychological support will be provided to those working at the center, including sessions to help manage stress and emotional well-being.

Long-Term Impact:

  • Enhancing the Engagement of Recent Graduates in the Professional Sphere of Sebha's Community.
  • Reincorporating Youth Involved in Conflict into the Local Civil Society.
  • Creating Employment Opportunities for Graduates in Need of Rehabilitation (Youth and Women).
  • Establishing a Secure Environment for Students to Foster Active Participation in Society.
