Tree Aid is an international NGO with over 30 years’ experience working across the drylands of Africa, working with national and local governments, national NGOs and communities to tackle poverty and the effects of the climate crisis. We believe that tackling poverty and protecting the environment are inseparable. Tree Aid employs natural resource management, forest governance, food security and enterprise development approaches to alleviate poverty and protect the environment. Since establishment, Tree Aid has grown more than 32 million trees and supported 3.8million people out of poverty in Mali, Ghana, Burkina Faso, Senegal, Ethiopia, and Niger.
