- International Centre for Islamic Culture and Education (ICICE), the custodian of Al-Noor Masjid, was conceived and established in July 2012 as a not-for-profit Islamic organisation to serve as a prime Centre for knowledge sharing amongst people of all faiths, foster peaceful co-existence as well as to empower the community. To also promote inter-faith dialogue, Islamic education, arts & culture, economic and social development of Muslims in Nigeria and further afield. It provides training for the middle and high-level personnel in areas of specific needs for Muslims, including Islamic Banking & Finance and its related fields, Media, Islamic Scientific Research and Islamic Cultural Heritage. It provides facilities for worship and cultural activities at its Wuse II base in Abuja for the Ummah in Nigeria and West Africa sub-region. In addition to collaboration with renown institutions, organisations and individuals, the Centre delivers its programs and services through seven directorates led by directors namely: (1) Masjid, Dawah and Education, (2) Community Development and Social Welfare, (3) Arts, Counselling and Culture, (4) ICT, Learning and Development, (5) External Relations, Fundraising and Investment, (6) Administration, Planning and Procurement, and (7) Finance, Auditing and Accounts. While currently engaged in the first phase of its expansion program of the Masjid from a capacity of 1,000 worshippers to 12,000 worshippers, the Centre, in partnership and collaboration with interested investors, plans to develop Waqf (Endowment Fund) in the second phase to ensure generation of the required funding for continuity of the delivery of its humanitarian services and programs. The Masjid will also co-locate with some commercial ventures including Eye Hospital, Women Sport Centre, shopping mall, Hotel, Conference/Exhibition Centre, Offices, Amphitheatre, Microfinance Bank, and Printing Press among others for the same purpose.
- To be at the forefront of disseminating authentic knowledge & information in the fields of Islamic Sciences, Culture & Education with a vision to enhance the lives of Muslims and humanity.
- To promote and inculcate Islamic Culture and Education to the Muslim Community in Nigeria and further afield.
- • To serve as a Centre of Excellence for the training of middle and high-level personnel in areas of specific needs for Muslims, including Islamic Finance and its related fields, Media, Islamic Scientific Research and Islamic Heritage and Culture; To provide facilities for worship and cultural activities to the Muslim public; • To work towards spiritual and cultural advancement of Muslims, by providing exposure to leading International Islamic Authorities in their respective fields; • To provide recreational and health facilities and services to the general public with a view to promoting awareness for healthy living; • To promote, disseminate and propagate Islamic education in general by providing library and instructional services to Muslims and the general public; • To establish institutions and facilities necessary for the realization of the objectives of the Centre, such as educational facilities, health clinics, hostels, mosques, printing press etc. • To establish an academy of Islamic Banking and Finance that would provide professional training via Internationally accepted authorities in the field; • To promote synergy and collaboration with leading Islamic Centres globally in order to disseminate the most well-informed thoughts on enhancing Islamic civilization and its image in West Africa; • To promote Islamic culture, history and ethics to Muslims and those of other faiths; • To serve as a Centre of Excellence for research and advanced studies for researchers and academics from different parts of the world.
