2. Introduction
MORAD is an independent, non-governmental, and non-profit organization established by Sudanese development experts to promote rehabilitation and development in Sudan. It focuses on providing opportunities to internally displaced persons (IDPs), poor rural populations, and host communities affected by conflict and poverty.
Initially founded in 2016 as a development training center, the organization evolved into a national body, further supported by consultancy and development expertise. MORAD partnered in 2024 with the Peace & Development National Organization (PDNO), which has extensive experience in humanitarian intervention (since 2006) in partnership with organizations like UN FAO and UNICEF.
