AMFA, established as a professional association of microfinance institutions in 2001, today represents a microfinance community grown to 30 members, that have enjoyed a rich tradition of engaging in lateral learning to advance the practice of micro and small enterprise development on a country scale.
AMFA viewed as a leader in recognizing the important role of financial inclusion for the well-being individuals and the business success of entrepreneurs. Over the years, AMFA has experimented with a number of approaches to expand access to financing for the low-end market through microfinance institutions and banks.
AMFA exists to advance the interests of the microfinance industry in support of sustainable and equitable economic growth in Azerbaijan.
As of today, AMFA has 30 members including 22 non-bank credit organizations, 7 banks, 1 credit union.
