BSDO Mission:
BSDO is struggling to contribute to building a peaceful and developed society in Afghanistan through the education, protection, livelihood, agriculture, humanitarian aid, and development services.
BSDO Profile:
The BSDO is an active NGO in west region of Afghanistan, this NGO established in 2012 by educated and experienced youth in Badghis province and then expanded its activities to Herat province; the BSDO implemented different projects in areas of education, protection, livelihood, and capacity building focusing on women, youth, and vulnerable groups.
During 2023 and 2024, the BSDO implemented the following projects:
1. Protection – raising legal awareness and mediation- project that funded by the Search for Common Ground (SFCG) and implemented in Badghis province.
2. Organizational capacity building project that supported by SIDA and facilitated by AWEC for one year covering different trainings and providing operational support.
3. Livelihood and food security project for vulnerable families in Robat Sangi district of Herat province, this project funded by the UNDP.
The BSDO is an active NGO in Herat and Badghis provinces at sub national level focusing on protection, education, livelihood, and capacity building; this NGO has educated and experienced staff who already worked in development and humanitarian contexts.
This NGO has different policies such as safeguarding, gender, PSEA, child protection, AAP, and other administrative policies such as finance, HR, procurement, etc. This NGO already worked as partner with the UNDP, registered on UN Partner Portal, and passed the PSEA trainings and its requirements in 2024 under the UNDP project.
