Campaign Status

Ongoing Offline: The campaign is currently ongoing offline and, thus still in the process of collecting funds.

Summary

The campaign aims to implement comprehensive hygiene interventions benefitting 2,000 children.

Challenge

In the heart of Karji and Mahuta, Kaduna, Nigeria, over 2,000 primary school pupils are eagerly engaged in their learning journeys. However, the shadow of preventable hygiene-related illnesses, such as dysentery, intestinal worm infections, cholera, and typhoid, looms large over their school experience. These diseases not only threaten the health of these children but also have the potential to disrupt their education, keeping them out of school.

Solution

The goal of the campaign is to raise $3,500 to implement comprehensive hygiene interventions in these schools. The funds will be utilized to:

  • Establish Sustainable Hygiene Practices: Build proper sanitation and hygiene facilities, ensuring clean and accessible spaces for students to maintain their personal hygiene.
  • Implement Education Programs: Conduct hygiene education programs, workshops, and campaigns to equip students with the knowledge and habits necessary for a healthy life.

  • Ensure Clean Water Access: Contribute to initiatives ensuring a sustainable supply of clean water within the schools, a fundamental step toward preventing waterborne diseases.
  • Set Up Health Monitoring Systems: Establish health monitoring systems, allowing for early intervention and preventive measures to contribute to the overall well-being of the students.'

We invite everyone to join us in this meaningful campaign. Your support will make a tangible difference in the lives of these young students, providing them with a healthier and more conducive environment for learning.
