NAJMAH adopts a participatory approach with various parties, whether local communities, governmental and national institutions and the private sector, to reach the highest possible level of development and within the available capabilities.
Achieving food security through diverse interventions and community empowerment, being able to provide support to 13,810 direct beneficiaries (excluding direct support and aid projects):
Livelihoods projects: NAJMAH implemented several projects to support livelihoods through projects that focus on capacity building of both refugees and hosting communities' members, providing training with the aim of employment and empowering the beneficiaries with the needed skills that enable them to either enter the labor market and increase their income, and/or start their own business.
NAJMAH implemented more than 15 projects in the past 8 years with a turnover of more than one million dollars every year, such as:
- Pilot Digital learning project: The first large scale project in Jordan training on social marketing and SMEs, held in cooperation with TAG training institute.
- Vocational and on job training project: two phases implemented in the southern and northern Jordan valley districts
- Food for training project 6 phases implemented all over the kingdom; providing beneficiaries with needed skills to inter the labor market in exchange for either monthly amount of food or monthly cash assistance.
- Food for Assets project 4 phases conducted light maintenance to public schools, health centers and gardens, introducing pilot hydroponic systems to public schools.
- Shopping bags project; fabric shopping bags used by refugees when receiving food assistance, made by Syrian and hosting community female at CBOs and CDCs tailoring workshops.
Health and malnutrition related projects: included field studies and surveys for vitamin A deficiency and blood Anemia, resulted in goat's distribution project and direct Aid projects linked to food consumption and providing basic food needs.
Direct support projects:
Direct assistance to Iraqi refugees, Syrian refugees, and vulnerable members of hosting communities.

Agriculture and water sector projects
NAJMAH has also given great importance to water and agriculture programs related to empowering vulnerable groups through agriculture such as Building Hydroponic stations, livestock projects, rehabilitation of Roman wells, school and home gardens, and water harvesting. NAJMAH continue to serve the local community through providing technical trainings and capacity building on both individual and institutional levels.
NAJMAH is considered one of few local organizations focusing on food security sector, making synergies with related SDGs.
All projects and interventions implemented by NAJMAH adopts strategical sustainable development approach, integrate vulnerable categories of both refugees and hosting community, insuring equal opportunities for all.
