Environmental Protection Society (EPS) is a non-governmental, not for profit, non-ethnic and indigenous organization working for environmental protection in the area since 1991. EPS was registered under the Societies Registration Act 1860, on April 25, 1994 with registration number 4717/5/2474. EPS’s vision clearly and concisely sets out its long-term goal and direction which is “Clean and healthy environment where all people live with dignity and peace”. EPS’s mission statement complements and builds on the organizational vision by defining its key purpose and core areas of focus which is “To strive for inclusive development with community participation for deserving people with care and respect”. EPS General Body consists of 35 members and their membership is renewed annually whereas new membership is always open as per criteria specified in Charter of Association. EPS have nine Councilors/Board of Directors having proper structure. Since its 27 years of services, the Society worked with many national, international and UN organization in natural resources management, Institutional Development, Eco-Tourism, Livelihood, WASH including MHM, Health, Education, Disability, Shelter and Community Physical Infrastructure Schemes. Environmental Protection Society has so far successfully accomplished more than eighty projects. All the projects and core activities are carried out professionally with a blend of voluntary zeal by following the organizational Policies, Framework/mechanism and Standard Operation Procedures. Strategic plan of the Society serves as a guiding document. EPS has signed MoU with EAD and have received NOCs for its ongoing projects. 


The Society has implemented more than 80 project in partnership with national, international, government and UN organizations and have focused on Malakand Division of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province which remained vulnerable to flash floods, earthquake, insurgency and recently COVID-19 pandemic.
