Introducing Tadamon to civil society organizations

Introducing Tadamon to civil society organizations

Last month, we held a series of seminars in Lebanon, Somalia, Tunisia, Indonesia, Kazakhstan. The seminars were broadcasted live on Facebook and Zoom and attracted huge attraction from members of the local civil society organizations of the respected countries, who were interested to learn about Tadamon and crowdfunding. More than 1000 people participated in the National Introductory Seminars for CSOs.

How can civil society organizations benefit from the Tadamon?

The Tadamon seminars series provided a platform to the local civil society organizations to demonstrate their projects to the world, as an important component of Tadamon is to provide visibility to these organizations. Furthermore, participants of UNDP and IsDB also talked about Tadamon, why was Tadamon created and how it aims to help these civil society organizations and what are the benefits for these nonprofit organizations for signing up on Tadamon.

The most exciting part of seminars for CSOs was getting a chance to hear from local organizations and platforms their experience with crowdfunding and what are the essential takeaways in order to run a successful crowdfunding campaign.

The Lebanon event was also held in person, in association with UNDP Lebanon, Live Love Lebanon, Beirut Digital District, Global Compact Network Lebanon, Live Lebanon and Instagram. In the webinar, our panelists shared how to successfully fundraise for a noble cause and how to use digital media effectively to do so. The event was a huge success, with a great in the house and online participation.

Similarly, we would like to thank our panelists from UNDP Tunisia for coordinating the Tunisia webinar! Also Thanks to cha9a9a.tn "شقًّاقة" , CoFundy and Fly'Yes association for sharing crowdfunding experience with civil society organizations. For the webinar of Somalia , we are grateful for our friends in UNDP Somalia and Shaqodoon Organization who shared about the great work they are doing in Somalia.

We would also like to thank you UNDP Indonesia for the webinar in Indonesia and like to express our gratitude to Kitabisa.com , Aksi Cepat Tanggap , and Kitong Bisa Enterprise for the efforts towards Sustainable Development Goals and giving a chance to the seminar participants to learn from them. Cheers to our colleagues from, UNDP Kazakhstan for the amazing support, Kunde Cafe - Food for Good and StartTime were amongst the panelists who shared experiences and useful advice amongst the participants of the Kazakhstan webinar.
