Tadamon Celebrates the Selection of 100 Civil Society Organisations to Join Food Security Accelerator Programme
Tadamon, a global community platform empowering civil society organisations (CSOs), is proud to announce the selection of 100 CSOs to participate in the Tadamon Food Security Accelerator Programme. The programme, supported by the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB), the Islamic Solidarity Fund for Development (ISFD), and implemented by UNDP, is a pioneering initiative to scale innovative, community-led solutions to tackle food insecurity across IsDB member countries.
This year’s open call drew an overwhelming response, with 1,048 applications from civil society organisations across 12 IsDB member countries, each dedicated to transforming food systems and strengthening resilience at the grassroots level. Following a rigorous evaluation process, 100 organisations were selected for their strong potential to tackle food security challenges in fragile and vulnerable contexts through innovative, inclusive, and sustainable approaches.
The Tadamon Food Security Accelerator is an intensive 11-week online journey, during which selected participants will benefit from tailored capacity-building support in innovative financing, strategic project planning and leadership, business model development, food systems, and SDG impact management. The programme is designed to empower organisations to scale solutions that enhance sustainable access to food, improve local production, promote climate-resilient agriculture, and uplift communities.
The selected CSOs will also have the opportunity to access grant funding totaling US$850,000 to scale their solutions. At the end of the programme, the most impactful initiatives will be recognised and supported to ensure long-term sustainability and replicability across different contexts.
