Campaign Status
Ongoing Offline: The campaign is currently ongoing offline and, thus still in the process of collecting funds.
Summary
The campaign aims to install five mini-water towers to provide villagers with access to water.
Challenge
Chad is one of the countries where clean water is a luxury. The challenges in water and sanitation are numerous, especially with accelerating poverty and ecological degradation, making rural populations severely vulnerable.
Access to clean water is extremely challenging. Consequently, most diseases in the country are waterborne. About nineteen thousand children die each year in the country according to UNICEF, due to water-related diseases, especially diarrhea. This constitutes a barrier to development.
Solution
The objective of the project is to provide relief to the vulnerable and contribute to local development by improving living conditions in Chad.
It is within this context of chronic fragility that we aim to intervene by installing 5 mini-water towers in the following villages: Djanga, Toukagoré, Doumour, Amsilep, and Diguin (Bahr El-Ghazal Province, Chad).
