Campaign Status

Ongoing Offline: The campaign is currently ongoing offline and, thus still in the process of collecting funds.

Summary

The campaign aims to offer capacity-building and psychosocial support sessions to 400 refugees (280 women, 120 men), including life skills workshops, vocational training, peer support groups, and parenting skills training.

Challenge

In the heart of the Zaatari and Azraq camps, thousands of Syrian refugee women face daily struggles, exacerbated by limited access to healthcare and empowerment opportunities. The prolonged Syrian crisis has led to reduced funding, causing many healthcare providers to downsize or cease operations. This has severely impacted the quality of healthcare services available to these women, leaving many with untreated medical conditions and limited prospects for improving their lives.

Solution

Our campaign, "Health and Hope: Empowering Women in Zaatari Camp," aims to change this reality. By enhancing our health clinic services, we will offer essential health education. These services will not only address immediate healthcare needs but also empower women with the knowledge and skills to take control of their health and well-being.

Additionally, we plan to implement a comprehensive Capacity Building & Psychosocial Support Sessions program. This initiative will include Life Skills Workshops, Vocational Training, Peer Support Groups, and Parenting Skills Training. By providing these services, along with a comprehensive nursing aid program, we aim to increase the number of qualified health aides within the camps. This approach will ensure sustained healthcare support, create employment opportunities for camp residents, and foster a sense of community and self-reliance.

With your support, we can make a tangible difference in the lives of these resilient women, providing them with the care and education they deserve. Together, we can bring health and hope to the heart of the Zaatari and Azraq camps.
