Campaign Status

Ongoing Offline: The campaign is currently ongoing offline and, thus still in the process of collecting funds.

Summary

The campaign aims to provide professional training for people with disabilities, fund income-generating activities, improve accessibility in public spaces, and invest in technological innovations to enhance their daily lives.

Challenge

In Guinea, a country with a rural economy, people with disabilities face significant challenges accessing resources and are often excluded from economic life. This lack of inclusion undermines their autonomy and marginalizes them from society. The public system does not offer integration into economic activities, leading many people with disabilities to turn to the informal sector, where many end up as beggars. In rural areas, they often rely solely on family or community support.

Solution

This campaign aims to support the empowerment and recognition of people with disabilities through the gathering of funds aimed at implementing their entrepreneurial initiatives and activities that generate economic output.

The funds will be used to finance a spectrum of activities:

  • Professional Training Programs: We aim to offer people with disabilities the opportunity to gain the necessary skills to acquire a remunerative job.
  • Development of Income-Generating Activities: We will directly finance the income-generating activities of people with disabilities.

  • Accessibility and Adaptation: We will work on making public spaces and infrastructure more accessible to disabled people by providing technical assistance and raising awareness within local communities.
  • Technological Innovation Projects: We will invest in initiatives aimed at finding solutions that facilitate the daily lives of people with disabilities.
