Summary

The crowdfunding campaign aims to empower 7 women in Jordanian tourist villages by enhancing their skills, marketing women-managed guest houses, and building strong local partnerships for sustainable support.

Challenge

The Makawir district of Madaba faces significant challenges, including high levels of poverty, which makes providing employment and entrepreneurship opportunities for women both difficult and necessary. This challenge increases the importance of the “Women to Women Guest Houses” project, as the project seeks to enhance the economic sustainability of the region by providing job opportunities and developing women’s skills. The region's residents suffer from a severe lack of tourism services and adequate infrastructure to encourage this sector, which hinders the development of local tourism and reduces the region's attractiveness to visitors. This poses an additional challenge that must be addressed by improving tourism infrastructure and enhancing the promotion of the region as a distinctive tourist destination.

Solution

The project will contribute to organizing dedicated training courses in the field of hospitality and business administration for women participating to raise the level of their skills and enable them to provide high-quality services, in addition to improving marketing and promoting hospitality homes managed by women in cooperation with local and regional authorities to attract more visitors, and therefore local cooperation and partnerships will be strengthened With relevant institutions to improve infrastructure and ensure sustainable support for the project.

This project goes beyond just creating a place to stay, as it also seeks to develop and enhance the hospitality and service skills of these women. Professional training and guidance will be provided to them to improve the quality of services provided, which will contribute significantly to raising the level of hospitality and reception in Jordan. In addition to promoting tourism in remote areas and improving economic opportunities for women in these communities. This initiative combines economic and social sustainability to achieve a positive impact that benefits society.
