Campaign Status

Ongoing Offline: The campaign is currently ongoing offline and, thus still in the process of collecting funds.

Summary

The campaign aims to formulate an action plan for the municipalities within the Tchaoudjo prefecture to equip young girls and women with the confidence to assert themselves across all facets of social life within their communities.

Challenge

Despite Togo's commitment to a proactive sustainable development strategy, progress has been slow in realizing the envisioned advancements outlined in the National Long-Term Perspective Studies (PND). The country's pursuit of tangible development faces challenges in execution and effectiveness, hindering the desired transformation.

Solution

The campaign's primary objective is to catalyze increased community involvement in all phases of the Community Action Plan (PAC), fostering a sense of ownership and investment in development actions. The goal is to position the population as active development actors in their localities, ensuring the full success of these actions.

Furthermore, the campaign aspires to equip young girls and women with the confidence to assert themselves across all facets of social life within their communities. This approach aims to empower individuals and foster a supportive environment conducive to sustained community development.

The project components are:

  • Raising Awareness
  • Community Action Plan (CAP) Development
  • Chicken Coop Management Training for Women

They are designed to actively engage communities in the development of community action plans, fostering a sense of ownership in both the process and subsequent development actions.

Additionally, women will receive specialized training in effective chicken coop management, providing them with a sustainable income source and mitigating the challenges associated with strenuous labor, rural migration, and promoting their seamless social integration.

The project is set to span over a period of six months, encompassing the entire Commune of Lama Tessi, comprising 24 villages. This comprehensive approach ensures a thorough and impactful intervention within the targeted community.
