Summary

The campaign aims to install 50 recycling bins, offer rewards for waste collection, provide motorbike trolleys for waste collection and proper disposal, and organize community cleanup drives.

Challenge

Pakistan, like any other country, is affected by non-decomposable trash. Swabi, a small district of Pakistan, is the main focus of our campaign due to our presence in the district. The health and environmental conditions in this district are adversely affected by poor waste management practices. Waste is not managed properly; it is often found on roads near residential areas, hospitals, parks, and other places with human activity. Takal Welfare Organization has over a decade of experience working for community well-being.

Takal has tirelessly worked in the domain of WASH (Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene) to provide people with better facilities for clean water and to improve their health and living standards. Swabi's waste management infrastructure is inadequate, leading to overflowing landfills and littered streets. Many families in Swabi struggle to dispose of their waste responsibly, contributing to environmental degradation and health risks. This situation calls for urgent action to implement effective waste management strategies.

Solution

The Takal Welfare Organization, through its campaign "Cash for Trash," aims to sensitize and engage the community in improving the waste management system in Swabi. The goal is to facilitate the collection, segregation, and proper management of recycled materials and trash.

To transform Swabi district into a clean area, we need to raise $25,000 for:

  • Installation of 50 recycling bins
  • Rewards for waste collection
  • Acquisition of motorbike trolleys for waste collection and proper disposal
  • Organization of community cleanup drives

This opportunity not only promotes responsible waste management but also educates society about its importance, creating economic opportunities for individuals and fostering a culture of environmental stewardship.

Support us with your donations and be a part of our journey towards better living standards for those who are already striving in various aspects of their lives.

Your donations can help us improve waste collection infrastructure, educate the community, and implement recycling initiatives in Swabi. Your contributions can have a significant impact on the improvement of Swabi's environmental conditions and the promotion of cleaner living standards for the community.
