Association Kherkoon

The KHERKOON ASSOCIATION "Organized Women Fighters for Development-Burkina Faso" in short (OWFD-BF), is an association created on January 1, 2020 and officially recognized on October 23, 2023 under receipt N000001684201 by the State of Burkina Faso. The term "Kherkoon" means in the Lobiri language "Women fighters" and symbolizes the determination of the founding members of the organization for the cause of women. OWFD-BF is a non-profit organization, without any discrimination and independent. The vision: an egalitarian world where women and young people are autonomous, resilient and participate equitably in sustainable development. The general objective is to contribute to increasing respect for women's rights for full and complete participation in the management of the country. It is an organization composed of a large majority of women and led by a Board of Directors composed and led by a President, a Vice-President and a Secretary General, all women.
