Who We Are

The Association for the Fight Against Climate and Environmental Hazards (ALCACE) is a non-governmental organization based in Djibouti, dedicated to environmental protection and combating the effects of climate change. Founded by committed actors, ALCACE works to strengthen the resilience of vulnerable communities facing current ecological and social challenges.

Our Mission

To promote sustainable and inclusive actions aimed at preserving natural resources, raising public awareness of climate issues, and supporting local adaptation and mitigation initiatives.

A resilient and sustainable Djibouti where every citizen is an active participant in protecting the environment and fighting climate change.

Our Areas of Intervention

  • Reforestation and ecological restoration: tree planting campaigns and mangrove restoration
  • Waste management and fight against plastic pollution: organizing cleanup operations, awareness campaigns, and waste valorization
  • Environmental education and awareness: workshops, training sessions, and information campaigns for schools and communities
  • Support for vulnerable populations: distribution of food kits and assistance during natural disasters
  • Capacity building: training in agroecology, sustainable practices, and green entrepreneurship
  • Environmental advocacy: mobilization and collaboration with local authorities and partners for sustainable development
