Emergency Medical Response through CSOsThe Problem
After a series of ISIS attacks in several parts of Iraq, the fundamental healthcare infrastructure was damaged. Civilians who have returned to these areas, namely the Mosul province of Sinjar city, need access to basic healthcare. In particular, women and children suffer from lack of access to healthcare which calls for an increased health and disease awareness.
The Solution
NahriCare aims to set up a call center in Erbil and a mobile clinic in Sinjar. The call center will register and interview women and children in need of healthcare services. The recorded data will then be relayed to the mobile clinic which will in turn provide necessary healthcare services as well as medicines. The target group will also be provided with health awareness packages and in person counselling through specialists.
Impact
NahriCare contributes to good health and well-being as it seeks to improve accessibility to basic medical services, increase health awareness and provide consultancy services for women and children in Sinjar.
