Introductory Seminar for CSOs in Jordan

Overview:

This September, Tadamon invites civil society organizations (CSOs) based in Jordan to our inaugural event, the Tadamon Introductory Seminar, to learn more about the IsDB - ISFD NGO Empowerment for Poverty Reduction Program/Tadamon.

The invitation is open to CSOs working in the field of youth and women empowerment, job creation, refugees, climate change, energy and environment, peacebuilding, STEM education, getting kids back to school, community development and resilience agriculture, and rural development.

The seminar aims to introduce CSOs in Jordan to the objectives of the Tadamon program, Tadamon’s upcoming activities (including Crowdfunding Academy), and how to join the Tadamon community. The event will also feature a rich panel discussion on the opportunities and challenges of crowdfunding faced in Jordan.

“We all need to work together to face today's challenges. CSOs are especially important to this end as they are working on the ground with those in need. Given the right resources and support, they are strong partners to the government, development banks and organizations, the private sector, and citizens. Very often they are not visible enough and lack funding – Tadamon’s mission is to support them,” says Robert Pasicko, Program Coordinator at the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP).

CSOs will also learn about an upcoming capacity-building program: Tadamon Crowdfunding Academy. The program trains CSOs in raising funds for their community-focused projects and ideas using crowdfunding. The launch of the academy in Jordan will be announced soon.
