Our story

We in Rural Association aim to support farmers and enable them to regain their role, status and confidence in their land by replanting the destroyed olive fields that were their sole livelihood. The campaign contributes to preserving the agricultural rural character of the town, as well as helping farmers to adapt to climate change because olive trees can preserve all the weather and water conditions in the town .

In Palestine, even Olive trees, a symbol of resistance and resilience, are targeted by the occupation forces. 

Abasan Alkabira town, located on the 1948 border strip, with a population of 30,000 inhabitants, the majority of whom work in agriculture, has been dredged over the years of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict, with tens of thousands of olive trees washed away, and many farmers losing their only livelihood.  

The decline in green spaces has affected the biodiversity and green nature of the entire eastern areas of Abasan Al kabira .

This campaign is part of the Crowdfunding Academy Project, It was developed by Tadamon, IsDB and ISFD, UNDP and BuildPalestine, and is run in partnership with Gazze Destek Association, a non-profit civil Turkish organization.
